7-22. RADIOMETER HEAD 2A1A8 (EXTERNAL RADIOMETER)
7-22
INPUT CODE: EXTRAD
a .
DESCRIPTION
This module test the ability of radiometer head (external radiometer) 2A1A8 to
detect light energy.
The A mirror is programmed to position 1 (out), the B mirror
is programmed to position 1, the dayside shutter is programmed open, and the target
lamp programmed off.
The operator mounts the external radiometer to the shutter
port of the dayside test bench, and sets the external radiometer head to
position 3.
The operator then turns the external radiometer controller on, and sets range to
10-5.
The operator then zeros the external radiometer, and pulls the laser shield
out.
The external radiometer output is digitized, and the samples averaged and
recorded.
The target lamp is turned on, and AN/USM-410 power supply DC2B ramped to
12 vdc.
The external radiometer output is digitized, and the average of the samples
compared to the recorded output average with the target lamp off.
If the lamp on average is not +0.125 to +0.800 vdc higher than the lamp off
average, a prompt is displayed at the completion of the test.
The target lamp is then turned off, the external radiometer output digitized,
and the average of the samples compared to the previously recorded lamp off output.
If the difference is not within 0.02 vdc, a prompt is displayed.
b. REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE REFERENCE
The following list provides a cross reference of replacement items to
replacement procedures.
The item column identifies the item to be replaced by
reference designation and part number.
The reference column identifies the
procedural paragraph used to perform the replacement action. The VDT screen will
display the proper sequence of repair/replace actions.
