c. CABINETS, SLIDES, AND BASE TROUBLESHOOTING
Cabinets, slides, and base troubleshooting is accomplished by visual inspection.
The Cabinets, Slides, Base Troubleshooting Flow Chart, showing the troubleshooting
process, and a description of each block, are provided in this paragraph. The
description of the flow chart is keyed by circled numbers in the Symbol column.
These numbers correspond to the circled numbers located near the blocks on the flow
chart.

Action
CHECK DRAWER SLIDES FOR OPERATION - pull drawers out of cabinets and check
for slide operation.
VISUAL INSPECTION - look for bent or otherwise damaged slides, or
obstructions that prevent proper operation.
REPAIR OR REPLACE - use standard maintenance procedures to repair.
Refer
to paragraph 2-25, 5-10, and 5-31 for procedures to replace slides.
CHECK CABLE CARRIERS FOR OPERATION - pull drawers out of cabinets and check
for cable carrier operation.
VISUAL INSPECTION - look for cables not extending freely or any obstruction
to cables.
REPAIR OR REPLACE - use standard maintenance procedures to repair.

to paragraphs 2-25, 5-10, and 5-31 for procedures to replace cable carriers
CHECK DOOR HANDLES FOR OPERATION - Open and close cabinet doors and check
for proper operation.
VISUAL INSPECTION - look for damaged skirt, isolators, damaged tubing, etc.
REPAIR OR REPLACE - use standard maintenance procedures to repair.

CHECK PNEUMATIC BASE FOR PROPER OPERATION - refer to TM 11-6625-3085-12 for
operation procedures.
VISUAL INSPECTION - look for damaged skirt, isolators, damaged tubing, etc.
REPAIR - refer to paragraph 5-6 for procedures to repair base assembly.
VISUAL INSPECTION OF CABINETS - look for damage panels, chipped paint, etc.
REPAIR OR REPLACE - refer to paragraphs 2-25, 2-42, 2-64, and 5-10 for
procedures to repair or replace cabinets.
