TM 11-6625-3081-231-10. DESCRIPTION OF ELECTRONIC STATION (cont)1-10a. GENERALIn general, the electronic station consists of a two-bay cabinet and thefollowing rack mounted electrical/electronic assemblies:theb.Temperature control unit 1A1 (alternate:Control unit assembly 1A1)488 controller power supply 1A2Programmable power supply 1A3DC power supply 1A4AC control panel 1A5Blower 1A6Photomultiplier tube (PMT) controller 1A7Extender 1A9Disk/tape drive 1A1ODigital computer 1A11Blower 1A12Cable entry panel 1A13Cable entry panel 1A14Description of these items follow in reference designation order beginning withtwo-bay cabinet.TWO-BAY CABINET(1) The two-bay (steel) cabinet is centered on, and secured to, an electricalequipment steel base with four mounting bolts.Located at the bottom of each singleequipment rack bay is a blower assembly that forces air up and around theelectrical/ electronic chassis assemblies and out through louvered openings at thetop of the cabinet.(2) Assemblies 1A1, 1A2, 1A3, 1A4, 1A9, 1A1O, and 1A11 are individual slidemounted rack assemblies.Assemblies 1A5, 1A6, 1A7, and 1A12 are mounted toequipment mounting channels.Cable assemblies, cable carriers, cable mountinghardware, circuit card assemblies (CCAs), equipment rear Panel controls andindicators, and ground leads are accessible from the rear of the cabinet throughleft or right cabinet doors. All of the slide mounted electronic assemblies aresecured to rack mounting channels.Electrical cables that mate with each slidemounted electronic assembly are secured to retracting cable carriers. As theassembly is pulled out, the cable and carrier arm extend with the assembly. Achain, attached between the cable carrier and the back panel of each chassisassembly, prevents tension on electrical cable connections. When the slide mountedelectronic assembly is removed, the cable carrier and cable assemblies retract tothe rear of the cabinet.(3) Cable entry panels 1A13 and 1A14 located on the rear of the electronicstation provide power and signal distribution. Input power is 115v, 60 Hzsingle-phase.Eight ground terminal bonding positions 1A1E1 thru 1A1E8 providechassis and cabinet grounding against shock hazard.Change 91-11
