2. CIRCUIT CARD ASSEMBLY (CCA)
REPLACEMENT
CAUTION
This equipment contains parts and
assemblies sensitive to damage by
electrostatic discharge (ESD). Use
ESD precautionary procedures when
touching, removing, or inserting
circuit card assemblies.
NOTE
This procedure is used for replacing
14 analog to digital converter
assembly CCAs as applicable.
REMOVAL
NOTE
To remove internal CCAs do steps a,
e, and f.
To remove CCAs from rear
card cage do steps b, c, and d.

Remove two screws (1) and pull
out drawer (2) on slide exten-
sions.

Remove analog to digital con-
verter assembly (para 2-60).
c.
Comply with static sensitive
handling procedures for CCAs
(para 2-21).
CAUTION
CCAs in slots J17 and J18 are
connected by a ribbon cable and must
be removed together to avoid damaging
CCAs.

To remove CCA from rear card cage
(slots J1 thru J18), pull CCA (4)
straight out.
